- More reliable than other blood tests
- Easy to use
- Samples very easy to take
The Helicobacter pylori bacteria (abbreviation H. pylori) is the cause of many diseases, including B gastritis, stomach ulcers and almost every duodenal ulcer. This Helicobacter pylori stool test can be used to detect the bacterium.
The Helicobacter pylori tool test is based on the principle of antibody antigen agglutination. For this purpose, the test membrane has been treated with H. Pylori antigens. If a stool sample from a patient infected with H. pylori is now subjected to the Helicobacter pylori stool test, then the antibodies in the test bind to the bacterial proteins in the stool and colour the test line red. This means the Helicobacter pylori stool test is a safe and speedy method for confirming the diagnosis.
The Helicobacter pylori stool test is highly suitable for children and people with a needle phobia, since it requires no blood sample. Doctors appreciate the Helicobacter pylori stool test since it confirms the presence of an infection with active bacteria, whereas a blood test also detects antibodies that could be from an earlier infection.
